Bad Cards

Free online party card game

Online party card games for groups

A party game for 3 to 16 people that runs in a browser. One prompt, everybody answers, one judge picks. Nobody installs anything and only the host needs an account.

No download. Only the host needs an account.

Built for a room, or a call

Everyone plays on their own phone, so cards stay hidden and nobody leans over anyone's shoulder. That works the same whether the group is in one room or six.

Hosting a game, step by step

  1. Open bad.cards and start a game.
  2. Pick a game and the packs you want.
  3. Set the content rating and the number of rounds.
  4. Share the six-letter code. People join from their own phones.
  5. Start the first round.

Big groups actually work

A lot of party games get worse past eight players. This one gets better, because more answers on the table means a wider gap between the best one and the rest. Sixteen is the cap.

Good for

  • Birthdays, pregames and house parties.
  • Office parties, with the rating turned down.
  • Discord servers and friend groups spread across cities.
  • Holiday parties, with the Christmas and Thanksgiving packs.

More than one way to play

Beyond the classic, there are games where you caption pictures, reply to wrong-number texts, play the question to an answer, or write your own answers. Optional house rules include a final round worth double points.
