Bad Cards

Free party game on your phones

A free Jackbox alternative that needs no TV

Bad Cards is a free party game everyone plays on their own phone. There is nothing to buy to start, nothing to install, and no shared screen. The prompt, your hand and the scores are all on your phone, so it works the same in one living room or across five cities.

No download. Only the host needs an account.

Jackbox makes great games, and if your group loves them, keep playing them. Bad Cards is for the nights with no TV, too many people, or nobody willing to stream. It is not affiliated with Jackbox Games.

What a night looks like

  1. The host opens bad.cards on any device and starts a game.
  2. Everyone else opens bad.cards on their phone and types the six-letter code.
  3. The judge reads the prompt out loud. Everyone plays a card from their hand.
  4. The judge picks a winner and the scores update on every phone.
  5. After the last round the game names the winner. Run it back for another.

Sixteen players, nobody watching

Everyone in the game holds cards and plays every round, all sixteen of them. Big groups make it better: more answers on the table means a wider gap between the best one and the rest.

What costs money, if you want it

Starting a game, joining one and the free packs cost nothing. If you want more, there are themed packs to buy and Bad Cards+, a subscription that opens the premium packs in every game you host, so your friends never pay.
