Writing and playing guild packs in your own server never needs a plan. If your server is happy with its own cards, you are done and it costs nothing.
Straight answers before you spend the server's money
What this is not.
- It does not unlock every premium Bad Cards pack for every member. It unlocks your server's own packs.
- Some paid game modes still require the person creating the pack to hold personal Bad Cards+.
- One active guild subscription per Discord server. There is no stacking.
- Only the person who bought it can cancel it or change guild settings. Admin rights alone do not transfer billing.
- If a paid server plan lapses, the server keeps playing cards its members wrote.
Common questions
Do all my members have to pay?
No. Creating and playing this server’s cards is free. A paid server plan is only for featured reach and member perks.
I already pay for Bad Cards+. Do I need this too?
They solve different problems. Bad Cards+ is your personal account: premium packs and higher personal limits. Guild packs are free to create and play in your Discord. A paid server plan is optional reach. Plenty of people run both, and they stack rather than replace each other.
Can another admin cancel it or take it over?
No. Billing and guild settings stay with whoever purchased it. Discord admin rights on their own do not grant control of the subscription, which is deliberate.
Do I need to install the bot?
Yes, it is how you set up Bad Cards for a server. Server packs, the server leaderboard and game-start posts come with it, and you choose what it posts. Playing never needs it.
What happens to our packs if we cancel?
The server keeps playing cards its members wrote. A subscription is only for reach: featured placement and member perks.
