Bad Cards

Adults only, when you want it

18+ card games you can play online

Bad Cards is a free online card game where the top rating is strictly for adults. The host chooses how far the game goes before the first round, from G to NC-17, and the game makes sure only adults ever see the 18+ cards.

No download. Only the host needs an account.

How 18+ works here

  • Everyone answers an age question before they play.
  • Players under 18 only get cards rated PG-13 or lower, and cannot join a game rated higher.
  • Adults play at whatever rating the host allows.

The ratings, in the words the game uses

The host picks one of these as the ceiling for the whole game. Cards above it are never dealt:

  • GChurch picnic energy. Almost no crimes.
  • PGMild spice. Grandma might sigh.
  • PG-13Teen rebellion with training wheels.
  • RThe good stuff. Don't invite HR.
  • NC-17No survivors. Bring towels.

R and NC-17 are where the 18+ packs live.

Playing as a group of adults

The host signs in, starts a game and shares a six-letter code. Everyone else joins on their own phone with no account. Make the game private so only your group can get in, and it stays between the people who were there.

On Discord

Bad Cards also runs as a Discord Activity in a voice channel, with the same ratings and the same age rules. The 18+ versions of the party commands only show up in age-restricted channels.

Write an 18+ pack of your own

The pack editor works for adults-only cards too. Write a pack about your friends, rate it for adults, and deal it into any game set high enough. A free account makes one pack of up to 100 cards, and nobody in the game has to buy it.
